Yep – we’re off to Italy to sing in beautiful places!!

Your days will be filled with glorious singing, breathtaking landscapes, unforgettable food and wine, and the joy of discovering Tuscany alongside a wonderful group of fellow singers and travellers.

Under the guidance of our fabulous choir leader Jane Christie-Johnston, we’ll learn songs and sing them in some of Tuscany’s most stunning settings. You’ll be amazed at how quickly the group will become a beautiful travelling choir and a heart-warming community. Whether you have sung in choirs for years or simply love to sing, this experience is designed for everyone. No auditions, no pressure – just the pure joy of making music together and singing along the way.

2 Nights in Florence: Discover the timeless beauty of Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance. Wander its charming streets, soak up its incredible history, and begin your singing journey together.

3 Nights in the Tuscan Hills: Nestled among vineyards, olive groves and picturesque hilltop villages, you’ll enjoy relaxed days of singing, exploring and indulging in the famous food and wines of the region.

3 Nights in Siena (return to Florence final day): Fall in love with Siena’s medieval streets, magnificent piazzas and rich culture as we complete our singing adventure in one of Tuscany’s most captivating cities.

Jane Christie-Johnston

Jane is a singer, choir director, event producer and our fabulous choir leader for this next Singing Adventure.

One of Jane’s greatest joys is to lead her choir ‘Sing For Your Life!’, which has grown from humble beginnings with 12 members in 2005, to well over 100 singers today. Jane’s teaching style is relaxed, informal, supportive and welcoming. “We don’t strive for perfection, and we don’t sweat the small stuff. We aim to make a fantastic sound and to just ENJOY it, soak up the harmonies and finish feeling rewarded,” she says. Jane teaches without the use of sheet music or instruments. Everything is taught by ear so no ‘technical’ skills are required.

But wait, there’s more – in addition, Jane is Director of Ho-Ho-Hobart Christmas Choir and Up She Rises. She also sings with award-winning a cappella ensemble ThylaSing and recently formed a new dance music collaboration with Queensland-based artist Dellandra.  She is also the current Chairperson of the Young Voices of Hobart Board.

In recent years, Jane’s three choirs have performed at many events including Hobart’s local Festival of Voices with the ‘Sing For Your Life’ choir having twice travelled to Ireland to sing in the Cork International Choral Festival, with another trip planned for 2026.

“These trips were the absolute highlight of my choral directing experience to date – travelling to another country to share our songs, meeting and singing for the locals and bursting into song in beautiful places was a dream come true. I’m really looking forward to capturing that same sense of joy and fulfillment on this Singing Adventure with Sharon and Pauline and the lovely group that will join us on this experience.”
